Bucs get rocked by the Niners, 48-3
Sunday did not go the Buccaneer’s way by any stretch of the imagination. Whether it was due to a shortened week because of their Monday Night Football game, or due to a lack of preparation against the surging Forty-Niners, this team was beaten in every possible way a team could be in the NFL. The team collected nine penalties during the game, Josh Freeman threw for 2-interceptions and only completed 17/33 of his passes for zero touchdowns. On top of the team’s futile play, it also suffered significant injuries on both sides of the ball. LeGarrette Blount and Gerald McCoy both left the game, with the extent of their injuries to be determined later today following tests.
The Bucs hope to quickly rebound since their schedule is only going to get more challenging; the Saints coming to town this weekend, a game against the Bears in London, and another round of the Saints in New Orleans.
